Antidote to McCain's Toxic Campaign

I've always liked Donna Brazile's plainspoken, no-bullshit manner. I've known she's a smart strategist and analyst. I had no idea she could be this inspirational. These words of hers - her refusal to go to the back of the bus - moved me almost as much as Barack Obama's speech last March on race in America.

This is the perfect antidote to the hatefulness of the McCain-Palin campaign this past week:

Thanks for the inspirational message. We need all we can get. I found another one a few days ago at http://www.youtube.com/
watch?v=7QIGJTHdH50. It's a speech about Obama by Richard Trumka of the AFL-CIO to the Steelworkers union in July. He gets pretty Howard Dean-y at the end but it was a moving speech, I thought.

Meanwhile, Obama and McCain are in a dead heat in NC. Our early voting starts Thursday. I'll be queued up then. I want to be sure that if I get squashed by a bus before Election Day, that my vote got counted for the rest of you.

Oooh, the race might even be tighter in NC than here in Ohio! Don't get squashed, Carla - but I appreciate you covering all the bases. :-)
